The services of the Galgóczi Erzsébet City Library

Internet use

45 minutes of free Internet use on a daily basis at the adult section of the Central Library, the Children’s Library, the Gyárváros, Gyõrszentiván, and Sziget Branch Libraries, and the József Attila Community Centre of Szabadhegy is guaranteed for registered readers/users that have Reader’s Passes or Visitor’s Passes. Internet use is to be registered at the book lending desk of the adult section of the Central Library, thus such service must be requested there. Data and information derived from the Internet can be recorded on USB flash drives; printing of such data must be requested from the librarian on duty. Our librarians and eCouncil staff will assist our readers/users in concern to the use of PCs and electronic administration if necessary.    

Access to particular databases (e.g.: EBSCO, NAVA) can be granted through the PCs of the library only! The use of such PCs is allowed for our readers/users.

WiFi (cordless network access) is available at the Adult Readers’ Service since 2009. This enables our readers/users/visitors to get access to the Internet through their own computers. The users’ notebooks or laptops must have their network access device required for the Internet connection in order to use this service. The cordless network access (WiFi) can be used free of charge and for an unlimited period of time.
