According to the content of "Our Mission" hereabove, the Galgóczi Erzsébet City Library is committed to developing its collection, organizing its services, and maintaining its public relations in order to satisfy the demands of its partners on the highest quality level possible in a manner available for every partner.
The fundamental principles of the library’s quality assurance policy are the following:
Reader/user oriented operation
The library is to monitor its existing services permanently in order to implement high quality professional best practices. On the basis of these services, it is to complete frequent self-assessment. This frequently conducted monitoring function represents the fundaments of the fourth element of the PDCA cycle: efficient error and malfunction prevention and correction function. The library makes efforts to develop the quality level of its public library and public edification services. In order to do so, the library establishes active and inactive contacts with its users: it also makes efforts to survey the expectations of its external and internal partners through frequent user interviews, satisfaction assessments, and forums in the first place. Data and information derived in such a manner are used during its quality development efforts. The library is to develop its spaces, environment, and services in the frame of equal opportunities to allow the disabled to get access to its services without hindrances. Polite and tolerant communication is a must during the care of public relations.

In order to maintain the reliability and predictability of the services, the library is to develop its collection, services, and public relations subject to the effective statutory provisions, professional requirements, and the quality assurance oriented institutional protocol. The management of the library expects all of its personnel to have knowledge of these regulations and to perform their duties while adhering to them.

The management and personnel of the library are committed to performing up-to-date and high quality work. The management of the library has declared its intention to install an up-to-date TQM based quality control system, to maintain its institution, and to continuously assess the results attained, and to continuously develop the system, and to secure the conditions of operation. The management of the library considers the employment of highly educated personnel, the incentive of trainings and additional trainings, and the recognition of quality performance to be of high importance. The personnel of the institution frequently update their knowledge in the course of trainings in order to meet, through their competence and reliability, the readers’ expectation the best.
Publicity
The library is to publicize its fundamental documents that regulate its operation and functions, as well as its documentation generated by the permanent development efforts connected to quality assurance. Such documents have been available for everyone on the library’s website.
